Failure...
Thats what all I'm going to see when I look into a mirror or when a complete stranger looks me in the the eyes. I've failed everyone who's ever believed in me. I failed my two best friends Demetrius and Tyler. They counted on me to prove that joining King Wrestling Federation wasn't a mistake. And putting a slow and old Dave Nightmare into the hospital is my lone achievement since becoming involved with KWF. I'm a proud member of the dominating force known as The Fallen, and I let all of them down as well. Spike Kane is the new World Champion and the leader of The Fallen. Me losing in my first title shot ever doesn't help with representing The Fallen well at all.
The worst part of it is that I failed my fans. I'm known as the Prodigy to them and what kind of Prodigy loses in his first title shot? None that I know of, I have to make it up to them, I have to redeem myself. Losing to Nola is the most painful thing I've had to deal with during my entire career. Not from a physical injury but more so from a mental injury kind of way. I've played it over and over in my head and I can't understand how she was able to defeat me.
I mean while training with the legend Royce Gracie I pushed myself beyond limits I didn't even know were possible. My days and nights were filled with nothing but the repeated beating of Royce's voice correcting my form and improving my technique. Submissions became second nature to me and my confidence about winning the gold at Redemption had never been higher. All the pieces seemed as if they were falling perfectly into place for me. That is of course until Sunday when my dream of being undefeated, having the gold, and ultimately towards obtaining the World Tile came crashing down to earth by the hands of Nola Rayne. The thought of uttering her name aloud sends a surge of anger through my entire body. The image of her raising her hands in victory as I lay worn and beaten on the lonely ring can't possibly disgust me more than it already does.
I thought I had her beat, I thought I was the new Diamond Champion, I thought...I thought wrong. She did it! I don't know how but she did. Me the one and only Prodigy defeated by a nobody. Yet maybe it was my "she's a nobody" attitude that blinded me from seeing the truth. A truth that was made painfully clear to me at Redemption. A truth that will no longer be denied. Yet there is another truth that is not denied by me and shall not be denied by Nola, Sean Mason, the fans, Spike Kane, or anyone else of the face of this earth. And that truth is that Nola will burn and suffer at my hands and my hands alone. Believe it or not it makes no difference to me, but come this Sunday I will open all of your eyes and make you except that truth.

.:Cain has just walked into the office of his manager Jay Neal. Oddly the man seems to be in a good mood which angers Cain. Cain has a seat in the only other chair seen in the room their conversation begins..
Jay Neal- How have you been handling everything these last few days?
Cain- Let me think..I received my first professional loss, the title that a dreamed of is nowhere to be seen, and to top things all off I got tapped out by a girl. But enough about me how are you doing Jay? Because I'm really fucking interested in your feelings!
Jay Neal- Listen Cain I understand that your upset. Who wouldn't be? But I'm not here to discuss feelings any more than you are. So if you'd like to just have me cut to the chase then I would really like to talk to you about business.
(Cain doesn't reply back)
Jay Neal- Okay then, I'll just take that as a yes. (pause) I have contacted several substantially big sponsors and they seemed very interested in you representing their products.
Cain- So what..
Jay Neal- So what? I don't think you would be saying that if you knew just who I talked too.
Cain- I'm waiting.
Jay Neal- I've been in touch with Firestone Tires, Crest Toothpaste, and I just had a phone conversation with Mike Miller the CEO Chairman of Rally's Burgers. He said that he'd like you to be featured in a new commercial that they are in the process of producing. Trust me this is a huge deal.
Cain- What about my gold?
Jay Neal- What? Gold? What are you talking about?
Cain- My title dammit! Do any of these sponsors have a title for me? How the hell is Mike Miller a fast-food loser going to help me get the Diamond Championship?
(Cain is standing now looking down upon a frightened and startled Jay Neal)
Jay Neal- Listen Cain all I was trying to explain to was that these people are going to give you alot of money. (His voice is quivering) Your going to be rich isn't that a good thing...?
Cain- Rich? Money? You really think I care half about that crap than I do for that belt! I'd prefer to sleep in a box rather a mansion as long as I had that title.
(Cain grabs Jay by his collar and has lifted him a few feet out of his chair, he looks deep into the eyes of his manager and see's raw fear, the kind of fear that Cain would love to see in the eyes of Nola)
Cain- Listen you need to get one thing straight if you enjoy your job and your life. My glory comes first, not some nonsense sponsors or big corporate pricks. Get me my title and maybe just maybe I'll consider that filling your life with unimaginable horror.
(Cain drops the shaking man back down into his chair and leaves the building)

.:After Cain's meeting with Jay, he decided that the best thing for him to do was to continue his training with the Legendary Royce Gracie. Which meant that Cain would have to fly back to California in order to do so. The flight was uneventful and life itself seemed meaningless, the first ray of hope refused to shine until Cain was standing outside the gym owned by Royce Gracie. This place has become a second home to Cain and he feels an escape from sorrow as he walks through the doors of the gym:.
Royce- You look terrible.
(Cain smiles, oddly enough it's the first thing since his defeat that Cain has found humorous in the slightest bit)
Cain- I would say that about you as well, but you always look so bad I have trouble telling the difference between one of your good days and one of your bad days. (Cain laughs)
Royce smiles- What do you say we get to work.
Cain- Music to my ears.
.:Cain quickly changes into the MMA shorts that are waiting for him in the gyms locker room. Now ready Cain is staring across the mat into the eyes of Royce Gracie a legendary fighter, a man who was once known as one of the deadliest on the planet, and an artist when it comes to the mastery of submission techniques. If any man can prepare Cain for a rematch with the fierce Nola Rayne their is no one more qualified than Royce Gracie:.
Royce- You disappointed me greatly Cain. (pause) I spent my own time training and preparing you for one single objective. Now tell me Cain do you know what that objective was?
Cain- To win the Diamond Championship of course.
Royce stares at Cain with cold emotionless eyes- If thats what you believe than it's no surprise that you were defeated. You think that I choose to help you instead of thousands of willing others just so you can have some stupid belt?
Cain face is now just as stern and serious as Royce's- Then why did you decide to help? You weren't being paid, what was the real reason behind your training if it wasn't to help me win my match.
Royce- The purpose of my training was to help you once you have been unleashed.
Cain- Unleashed? Your not making any sense.
Royce- You see I heard about you weeks before I ever laid eyes on you. Even before you ever joined KWF. Spike was constantly informing me about you. You and your two friends Demetrius Randall and Tyler Lucas were each closely watched by Spike and myself.
Cain- But why?
Royce- We wanted to see if you three were capable of doing the type of things that Spike had in mind for you. Which is why all three of you were chosen to be a member of The Fallen. This may seem like a regular faction on the outside, but it is much more greater than that. And you have been chosen to unleash it all upon the wrestling world.
Cain- Unleash what? And why me? What makes me so damn special?
Royce smiles- Unleash the future of course. You have been chosen to exterminate all who oppose the demands of The Fallen. Your job is of the most importance and we needed to select the right person which turned out to be easier than we thought. Both Tyler and Demetrius were candidates for your role in all this but it soon became clear to Spike that you were meant for this job. Tyler showed promise but he is much to unpredictable and doesn't quite have the darkness that is needed for such a job. Demetrius on the other hand appeared to be filled with darkness and hate but his love for his cousin Reggie soon dismissed that theory. But you..your different. On the outside you have the look and feel of Tyler; dangerous, thrill seeking, but you showed much more control. This was nice to see but the thing that intrigued Spike and myself the most was your ruthless ability to completely block out all emotions when the time was right.
Cain- Thats not true, it doesn't make sense. I'm not the person your describing.
Royce- But your are Cain, you are more than you can possibly know. Darkness is filled through out your entire body. You hate it when your emotions get involved which is exactly why you will never have a family again and your not even able to maintain a relationship for very long without having the evil in your heart from intervening.
Cain- Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Royce- Is it? Tell me Cain when was the last time you had any contact with the other members of your family? Don't worry I already know the answer to that question. And it is none, you've barely spoken a word to any of them ever since your mother and brother went missing. The relationship claim is also painfully true to you and I can sense it.
Cain- What are you talking about? I have a new date every other night.
Royce smiles- Do you know? Because my sources tell me that you haven't had a date in nearly a month. And it's nearly been just as long since you last talked to that poor girl. What ever happened to Kate?
Cain- How should I know? I've been to busy to call and get in touch with her.
Royce- Thats a lie and you know it in the depths of your soul. The real reason why you haven't called her is because the evil in you hates to get attached to others. Any sign of caring and love makes you nasues and uncomfortable because you know thats what was taken from you on that day your mother and brother went missing. You have been blaming yourself for what happened to them that day. This is the root of all the darkness in your body.
Cain- Stop saying that theres no darkness in me.
Royce- You know the truth. All I'm here to do is provide the tools that you'll need once you unleash on the world. And by doing that I'm going to have to open your eyes and accept the fact that your nothing more than a tool in the destruction of the wrestling world.
Cain- Thats it I'm done. I won't listen to this anymore.
Royce- Wait Cain! Just let me ask one last question. (pause) Do you think your dark soul will ever allow you to start a family of your own someday?
Cain- What? A family? I don't have a dark soul and if the time is right then yes I will start a family eventually. What kind of purpose does asking that question serve?
Royce- Just trying to show you the truth. You hate the sight of a happy family and you know that you can never start your own because the sight of it will only bring back the terrible memories of your lost family.
Cain- You just don't give up do you.
Royce- Would you like to prove me wrong?
Cain- You really are crazy. How in the hell can I prove that I'm capable of having my own family.
Royce- All I'm asking is for you to wait right where you are.
Cain- Wait! Wait for what?
Royce- Should be about five minutes.
(Cains reply is interrupted with the ringing of the gym's phone. A smile appears across Royce's face)
Royce picks up the phone- Hello? Yes one moment please. It's for you.
(Royce hands the phone to Cain)
Cain- Hello?
Voice- Cain, I've been trying to find you for nearly a week. We need to talk it's very important.
Cain confused- I'm sorry, but who is this?
Voice- It's Kate..from Boston?
Cain's eyes nearly pop right out of his head- ........
Kate- Hello? Cain are you still there?
Cain- Uh yes I'm here.
Kate- Are you okay?
Cain- Could you hang-on for just one second?
Kate- Okay sure.
(Cain covers the phone with his hand so Kate can't listen to him speak with Royce)
Cain- What the fuck did you do?
Royce smiles- What do you mean? All I did was help her in her search for you. You should really listen to what she has to say trust me it's important.
Cain- Why? Why did you do this? I'm too busy to deal with her right now.
Royce- You said that you wanted to prove me wrong so now's your chance.
Cain- Are you still talking about the whole family thing? Kate has nothing to do with that.
Royce smiles- Keep listening.
(Cain places the phone next to his ear)
Cain- I'm back. What did you say that you needed to tell me?
Kate- I really wish that I could've done this in person but since your constantly on the move this seems to be the best way to handle things.
Cain- Sorry about that my job keeps me really busy.
Kate- Yes I know.
Cain- So?
Kate- Please try not to freak out but I know your going too. I'm pregnant Cain and your the father.
(The phone slips from Cains finger tips. He stares at Royce who is laughing at Cains reaction. The sounds of his laughter cannot be heard for Cain's mind is elsewhere)
How? How the hell is this happening? I can't be a father, I can't have a child, this isn't right. We were only together for one night. No please no! Why me? Royce was right. Ooh no I can't believe he was right. I didn't see it until now, but I cannot have a family. Just the thought of that gives me an overwhelming feeling of nausea. I don't need this right now. Family, Royce, Kate, all of that other bull-shit is preventing me from focusing on what really matters. Nola. She's the only woman that I need to be thinking about. Theres Kate who can give me a child of my own and then theirs Nola who can give what I want most in the world no matter how much Royce try's to convince me otherwise, I just have to get that belt. It's doesn't belong to her even if she beat me. It's rightfully mine and I won't let Nola stop me from getting it a second time. I've learned from my mistakes and come this Saturday regardless of all this Kate and pregnancy nonesense I will be the Diamond Championship. You just wait and see.
Thats what all I'm going to see when I look into a mirror or when a complete stranger looks me in the the eyes. I've failed everyone who's ever believed in me.
